Erickson Moved to Private Care Facility

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (May 17) - Paul Erickson has been moved to the Colonial Acres Health Care Center to continue his recovery from head injuries sustained in March. The skilled nursing facility is part of Covenant Village of Golden Valley, which is operated by Covenant Retirement Communities.

The retired Northwest Conference superintendent was struck March 22 by a van while bicycling with his wife, Joan, and her sister on Sanibel Island in Florida.

"Paul is engaging, talkative and responsive," says Rick Carlson, his pastor at Roseville (Minnesota) Covenant Church. Erickson was superintendent from 1995 to 2003. He was ordained in 1968 and has pastored churches primarily in the West and Midwest.

So far, more than $20,000 has been raised to help defray medical expenses. Updates on Erickson's condition are regularly posted at Paul Erickson.
