Covenanter Seeks Nebraska Seat in Congress

OMAHA, NE (October 12, 2005) - Don Stenberg, a member of First Covenant Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, announced this week that he intends to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson for his congressional seat.

Stenberg announced Tuesday that he is entering the Republican primary. Stenberg, the former state attorney general, narrowly lost to Nelson in 2000.
