NEW ORLEANS, LA (September 28, 2005) - NEW ORLEANS, LA (September 28) – The devastation far exceeds the ability of photographs to appropriately convey the breadth of the damage, many observers note. Here are images encountered by the Covenant fact-finding team.

Flood waters that crashed through a broken levee moved this house a block.

This is the site where the 17th Street levee broke, which led to the destruction of neighborhood homes.

It is almost impossible to tell that a brick home once stood where members of the Oklahoma National Guard were walking. In the background is where the 17th Street levee broke.
