Special Iraq Chaplain Series Begins Monday

CHICAGO, IL (September 9, 2005) - The war in Iraq continues to make the news headlines, but one particular aspect of that drama has not received much public attention - the emotional and spiritual stress encountered by those called to serve in that theater of action.

The September issue of The Covenant Companion shares a rare inside look at the work of Covenant military chaplains who live and minister among those serving in combat zones. Filled with rich detail and compelling stories, this issue is a must read, says Bob Smietana, features editor.

Because of the importance of this story, we are offering expanded online coverage containing exclusive material that space did not allow to be incorporated into the magazine. A special six-part series by reporter Stan Friedman begins Monday as part of this online Covenant news report.

To order the special September issue of the Companion, call Eric Gonzalez at 773-907-3311. To order a subscription to the magazine, either call Gonzalez or order online at Companion.
