Hope Covenant Hosts "Love Comes Softly"
Grand Forks, ND (July 15, 2005) - Hope Covenant Church will host a production
of a musical adaptation of the Janet Oke novel Love Comes Softly
from July 17 through July 22. The performances will be held at the
church's facility in the Grand Cities Mall in Grand Rapids.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for
children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased by calling (701)
795-9261 or at the door.
Producer Toby Waldowski has taken 18 scenes from the book, written songs
and reproduced the action and dialogue. More than one million copies of
Oke's book have been sold since it was published in 1979. Michael Landon
Jr. produced a feature-length film of the book, which appeared on the
Hallmark Channel in April.
