Worship Service to Launch 120th Annual Meeting Tonight
KEYSTONE, CO (June 21, 2005) - Preparations are nearing completion for the opening of the 120th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church with a worship service at the Keystone Conference Center this evening.The beginning of the Annual Meeting coincides with the conclusion of another highly successful FEAST celebration that attracted more than 1,000 participants.
Annual Meeting registration and credentialing began this morning and
will continue throughout the day.
One highlight of this morning's Executive Board meeting was the recognition of retiring members of the board who have completed their terms of service. Members and the committees on which they served during their tenure include:
- Russell Carlson, Christian Formation and Church Growth & Evangelism
- Anne Lindquist, Personnel and Communications
- Luis Retamal, World Mission and Christian Formation
- Marilee Roberg, liaison from the Board of Benevolence
- Paul Swanson, Communications and World Mission

The Covenant Ministerium is scheduled to meet this afternoon, with new delegate orientation and the sixth annual retired clergy banquet rounding out today's activities prior to the 7 p.m. worship service.
This evening's worship service will be broadcast live over the Covenant Internet site at Covenant website. To log into the video broadcast, visit the website home page and select the Annual Meeting link and follow the instructions. The broadcast signal will begin approximately five minutes prior to the scheduled start of the worship service at 7 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
Business sessions will be conducted Wednesday and Thursday morning, with workshops and affinity groups scheduled that afternoon. Business will resume Friday with the meeting scheduled to adjourn no later than 4 p.m.
