Applicants Sought for Summer Receptionist Position
CHICAGO, IL (May 12, 2005) - Applications are now being accepted for a position as summer receptionist in the offices of the Department of Christian Formation of the Evangelical Covenant Church.The position is scheduled to cover weekday mornings during the summer months with a possibility for longer-term work. This individual will provide reception services not only for Christian Formation, but also for the offices of the Department of the Ordered Ministry and the Midwinter Conference, reporting to the executive minister of Christian Formation.
Responsibilities include processing voice mail messages, handling incoming telephone calls, operating office equipment and other routine office work as assigned.
Qualifications include excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional and prompt manner. The individual must have the ability to work with limited direction, take initiative, and have the ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with limited supervision, organizing own schedule and duties in order to complete responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED), one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the Evangelical Covenant Church preferred, but not necessary.
