Tribune Columnist to Speak at Libertyville
LIBERTYVILLE, IL (May 6, 2005) - Amy Dickinson, advice columnist for the Chicago Tribune, will speak at Libertyville Covenant Church at 7:30 p.m. next Friday, May 13.
Dickinson is speaking as part of the "Meet the Author" series the church
sponsors. The series features a variety of authors who speak to the
community about their craft and guiding values.
Dickinson joined the Tribune in 2003 as the newspaper's signature general advice columnist, following in the tradition of Ann Landers. She previously was a frequent contributor to TIME magazine where she penned a column about family life, often drawing from her experiences as a single parent and member of a large, extended family.
Dickinson also provided commentary for National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" and to "Sunday Morning" on CBS. She worked as a producer for NBC News in New York and Washington, D.C., and has written for the Washington Post, Esquire, Allure and O Magazine, among other publications.
The event is free. For more information, call the church at 847-362-3308.
