AUBURN, CA (April 21, 2005) - Don Moore, pastor of Sierra Vista Covenant Church in Auburn, California, is expected to be moved from intensive care today following an accident last Friday in which a deer smashed through the windshield of the car he was driving.

Chad Moore, Don's son, said today that his father had been transferred to Kaiser Permanente - Sacramento Hospital from Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He had been in intensive care there since the accident.

Don Moore was southbound on Highway 49 Friday morning when a deer crossed a center divide, jumped over one car and smashed through the windshield, striking him his son said. He was able to steer the car to the side of the road following the accident.
