CHICAGO, IL (March 8, 2005) - A wide range of activities are represented in

received during February by the Department of Communications of the
Evangelical Covenant Church.
Following are excerpts from those newsletters, organized by conference
and region.

of inspirational piano music at Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant
Church. Deal has presented more than 2,100 sacred and classical concerts
in Europe, Asia, North America and South America.
- Galesburg, Illinois: The Discovery Channel is again featuring
Midwest Choppers Custom Motorcycle Builders, which is owned by Chip and
Chrissy Myler, members of the Galesburg Covenant Church.

daughter of Rick Mylander, associate superintendent of the Midwest
Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

are participating in "The Sanctuary Project" during Lent. Each Wednesday
evening, members gather to pray in a "laboratory" for the previous
Sunday's sermon on practical approaches to prayer.

the Northwest Conference, led an adult Sunday school class in a
discussion of the eight essential characteristics of a healthy church.

Covenant Church. The seminar focused on how the church can relate to
contemporary society from a kingdom perspective.
- Duluth, Minnesota: Lakeview Covenant Church recently hosted an
old-fashioned hymn sing that featured a traveling gospel trio, a
fiddling duo and the Lakeview Gospel Band. The church also held a
farewell dinner for Becky Hogan, who has been the parish nurse for the
last six of her 16 years at Lakeview.
- Ellsworth, Wisconsin: Zion Covenant Church recently celebrated a
luau at the church - temporarily known as Tiki Beach Café - to raise
funds for CHIC2K6 next year at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Registration and event information is available at the Evangelical
Covenant Church website at www.covchurch.org.
