Christian Formation Seeks Project Coordinator
CHICAGO, IL (March 4, 2005) - Applications are being accepted for a position as project coordinator for the Department of Christian Formation in the Evangelical Covenant Church. This position provides administrative support including research, development and design of workshops, seminars and other departmental materials.This position reports to the director of Children and Family Ministries and is responsible for research and development of learning designs for workshops, seminars and training sessions in cooperation with age-level directors; formatting and updating material resources into publishable form; maintaining departmental materials that are available through Covenant Resource Center; developing and maintaining certain content in the department's segment of the Covenant website and the department's electronic newsletter; and providing administrative support for directors of children and adult ministries.
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred, along with at least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, excellent writing and editing skills, excellent visual design skills, desktop publishing experience and an ability to be creative with publishing software. Desired qualifications include excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional and prompt manner. The individual must have the ability to work with limited direction, take initiative and have the ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with limited supervision.
