Mission Adventure Weekend to Feature Salter McNeil

MERCER ISLAND, WA (February 24, 2005) - Brenda Salter McNeil will be the keynote speaker for the North Pacific Conference Mission Adventure Weekend to be held 1 to 9 p.m. March 5 at Highland Covenant Church in Bellevue.

The registration deadline is Monday – the registration fee is $18. To register, download the online form at http://www.covchurch-npc.org/missionadventureweekend/registration.htm and send it by mail or, given the approaching registration deadline, register by telephone at 206-275-3903.

Following an opening worship service, there will be various workshops throughout the afternoon, including opportunities to hear from Evangelical Covenant Church missionaries. The worship service with Salter McNeil will follow the dinner.

Salter McNeil spoke last August during the Women Ministries of the ECC Triennial XI in Portland, Oregon. She also has preached and taught at Covenant Pastors Midwinter Conference meetings in Chicago.

She is the founder of Overflow Ministries, a ministry seeking peace and reconciliation as a means to "unite every tribe and nation." Salter McNeil also has served at InterVarsity as regional coordinator of multi-ethnic training.
