NPU to Host Grant Writing Workshop
CHICAGO, IL (February 3, 2005) - North Park University will host the Grantsmanship Training Program on campus March 7-11. The program is taught by the Grantsmanship Center, the world's largest and oldest training organization for nonprofit organizations.The program provides an intensive "hands on" workshop covering all aspects of researching grants, writing grant proposals and negotiating with funding sources. It is designed for novice and advanced grant seekers. During the week, participants will learn the center's format for writing proposals and team up with classmates to prepare and write a proposal. Participants also will investigate funding sources for their organization.
Graduates will receive a one-year TGCI membership, which includes proposal reviews as well as being enrolled in the Alumni Forum, an online discussion group for the exclusive use of TGCI alumni, trainers and staff.
