Memorial Service Saturday for Albin Folden

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (November 8, 2004) - A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 13, for Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Albin Folden who died November 5 at age 88.

The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, 5800 St. Croix Avenue North, in Golden Valley, according to chaplain John Satterberg. Visitation will be observed from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday at Crystal Lake Funeral Home, 3816 Penn Avenue North, Minneapolis.

Folden was born December 8, 1915. He was active in pastoral ministry for 40 years, serving Covenant churches in North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, Arizona and Alaska. He and his wife, Ivie, had been living at Covenant Village of Golden Valley since 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ivie; sons Richard Folden of Maplewood, Minnesota, and Daniel Folden of Kent, Washington; daughter Carol Johnson of Glendale, Arizona; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
