Theatre Company to Present Folk Tale of Justice
CHICAGO, IL (October 21, 2004) - The North Park University Theatre Company presents Kosi Dasa by Stepsu Aakhu, a folk tale about justice that opens October 27 and continues through October 30.Kosi Dasa tells the story of Milktree and Shadow Hunter's journey to understanding their role in society, using Brazilian and Indian dance, martial arts and story telling techniques. Each of the four shows will begin at 8 p.m., although there will be a post-show discussion on October 28.
Performers include Mujahid Aziz, Josh Baker, Alana Calco, Lydia Faasse, Amy Fullerton, Joe Giovannetti, Greg Hart, Jackie Horbrook, Peter Kersten, Allison Kissell, Kate McCandless, Melanie Milton, Julia Oh, Becky Thompson and Quinton Wilks.
Others involved behind the scenes include: Tom Burch (set design), Chad Eric Bergman (light design), Sharlet Webb (costume design), choreographers Jennifer Steadillie, Aum Mu Ra and Andrea Vinson, Carla Stillwell (make-up artist) and Megan Sizemore (stage manager).
Ticket prices range from $5 to $8 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 773-244-5640. The Theatre is located in the Lecture Hall Auditorium on the North Park campus at 3225 West Foster Avenue in Chicago.
