NPU Seeks Candidates for Physics Position

CHICAGO, IL (October 18, 2004) - Candidates are being sought for a tenure track position in physics beginning in August next year, with rank commensurate with educational background and experience.

This position is responsible for teaching several upper division physics courses for physics majors as well as an introductory course for non-science majors needing to fulfill general education credit.

A Ph.D. in physics is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability as a teacher and will be able to continue the quality undergraduate education of both physics and non-science majors that the department has provided. The candidate also must be a Christian whose faith is reflected in an active integration of faith and learning. The university depends on the faculty and administration to create a Christian presence on campus. No specific denominational affiliation is required.
