Byrne Named Marketing VP at Covenant Retirement Communities

CHICAGO, IL (August 23, 2004) - M. Moraine Byrne has been appointed vice president of marketing for Covenant Retirement Communities Inc. In her new position, Byrne oversees corporate marketing strategies, policies and resource services for the company's communities nationwide. She reports to President Rick K. Fisk.

Byrne brings more than 20 years of experience in the senior housing industry to her new position. Before joining Covenant Retirement Communities, she spent 11 years consulting for acute, post acute, long-term care and senior housing providers nationwide. She was president and CEO of Moraine Byrne Associates Inc. until it was acquired by Minneapolis-based Health Dimensions Group, which she joined as senior vice president. She also has experience with provider organizations and served as corporate director of housing and assisted living operations for Presbyterian Homes of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota.

A frequent presenter at senior housing conferences, Byrne is a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging; the Assisted Living Federation of America; the Association of Fund-raising Professionals; the Colorado Association of Homes and Services for the Aging; the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance; and the National Association of Female Executives.

Byrne graduated from the University of Montana in 1978 with a bachelor's in Radio-TV. She pursued graduate studies in health care administration at the University of Minnesota.

Byrne lives in Arvada, Colorado.
