Short-Term Missionaries Needed in Japan, Ecuador

CHICAGO, IL (August 13, 2004) - Short-term missionaries are needed in Japan and Ecuador to teach and help coordinate work teams, according to Lana Heinrich, short-term missions coordinator with the Department of World Mission of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Two short-term missionaries are urgently needed to teach English as a Second Language at the Odawara Christian Center in Japan. They would need to begin in December or January. No previous teaching experience is necessary.

Short-term missionaries also are needed in Ecuador to coordinate work teams traveling from the United States. Spanish-speaking ability is required, or individuals must be willing to learn Spanish. Work could begin as early as January.
