Candidates Sought for Office Assistant Position

CHICAGO, IL (August 9, 2004) - Applications are being accepted by the Evangelical Covenant Church for a position as an office assistant to start in October. This position provides support to the director of youth and family ministry in working with local churches to implement an effective and successful triennial senior high youth event known as CHIC.

The position also provides support for Youth Worker's Connection, receptionist assistance for the Department of Christian Formation and the Department of Ordered Ministry, as well as support for the annual Covenant Midwinter Conference.

The successful candidate will have an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, six months to one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional and prompt manner. The individual must have the ability to work with limited direction, take initiative and organize a work schedule and duties to complete the responsibilities.
