Funeral Service on Friday for Becky Gambs

RED OAK, IA (August 3, 2004) - A funeral service will be conducted Friday morning for Becky Gambs, who died early this morning at her home following a lengthy illness. She is the wife of John Gambs, who serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. at First Covenant Church, 207 Hammond Street in Red Oak. A luncheon will follow the service at the church with burial in the Red Oak cemetery.

Visitation will be observed from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Nelson-Boylan-LaRette Funeral Chapel, 410 Sixth Street in Red Oak. Additional service information may be obtained by calling the funeral home at 800-653-4881.

John is a school teacher and coach in the Red Oak school system, where Becky also taught. Involved in arts and crafts, Becky took special pleasure in teaching English as a second language to students in the Red Oak system.
