Covenanter Reaches NY Times Bestseller List
CHICAGO, IL (July 3, 2004) - Finding God in the Questions, the new book by Dr. Timothy Johnson, reached the NY Times Bestseller List last month, the highlight in what has been a productive year for a number of Covenant authors. Johnson, best know as medical editor for ABC News and as a regular on shows like Good Morning America, is also a Covenant pastor and member of the Community Covenant Church in West Peabody, Massachusetts.Other Covenanters with books released in 2004 include:
- Rene Gutteridge of Westmoore Community Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, whose new novel, The Splitting Storm, released in June by Tyndale House. She is also the author of Ghost Writer (2000), Troubled Waters (2003) and Boo (2003).
- Harold R. Nelson, retired Covenant pastor, whose new book, Senior Spirituality is from Chalice Press.
- Nancy J. Nordenson of Edina (Minnesota) Covenant, whose book Just Think by Baker Books is for everyone who wants to get off the couch and move into faithful living.
- E. Lincoln Pearson, retired Covenant pastor and public school teacher, with a new collection of his writings called Beyond Church from Tooliedotter Press
- Wendy Lawton of Hilmar (California) Covenant Church, with The Hallelujah Lass, the story of Salvation Army pioneer Eliza Shirley. It is the fifth in her Daughters of the Faith Series from Moody Press.
- Greg Asimakoupoulos, Covenant pastor, with Ptarmigan Telegraph, a history of KICY
