Annual Meeting Stories, Photos Still Available

CHICAGO, IL (June 24, 2004) - The numerous news stories and photographs coming out of the just-concluded 119th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church have been moved from the daily online Covenant news report to the special Annual Meeting Coverage segment of the Covenant website.

A six-member onsite news team from Covenant Communications, assisted by team members working out of the Chicago office, provided daily online coverage of business sessions, evening worship services and other related events that were part of the three-day event in Minneapolis. "The use of two locations for this year's annual meeting made coverage more challenging," noted Don Meyer, executive minister of the Department of Communications. Worship services were conducted at First Covenant Church, located about a mile from the Hyatt Regency Hotel where business sessions were conducted. That required technology networks in both locations to service not only the daily posting of news stories and photographs, but also to support the live broadcasting of the three evening services at the church.

Additional coverage will appear in the August issue of The Covenant Companion, containing detail and reflective insights into many of the key issues of debate among this year's delegates.

Digitized copies of the evening worship services have been posted to the Covenant website for online viewing.
