Applicants Sought for Urban Outreach Position

CHICAGO, IL (June 24, 2004) - North Park University (NPU) is seeking a full-time person to serve as Urban Outreach Coordinator at the school, according to Director of University Ministries Rich Johnson.

The Urban Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and directing student volunteer service opportunities. Responsibilities include the recruitment, development and supervision of North Park students who volunteer with multiple agencies and organizations in the community and who serve teens in the junior high after-school drop-in program known as After Hours. These service-learning initiatives are part of the comprehensive spiritual formation program in the University Ministries department.
