Batavia (IL) Seeks Youth Director

BATAVIA, IL (April 28, 2004) - The Evangelical Covenant Church of Batavia is seeking applicants for a position as director of youth ministry, reporting to the senior pastor. The position also serves as a support position for the Christian Formation team.

Responsibilities include youth program oversight and growth, lay leadership training and development and youth program and related budgets. Qualifications include the ability to plan, organize, train and supervise ministry and events and provide Christian guidance and spiritual counsel to students, their families and lay volunteers. A bachelor's degree is preferred – Master of Arts or Master of Divinity degrees are a plus. A minimum of two years experience in student ministry is required, as are excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
