Dreams of Happiness
By Jamie McLean
Step into a world overloaded with imagination,
Where never, never land lives just a daydream away.
Where gunpowder is POOF, fairy dust that could
Transform all evil to kindness with just a flick of a magic wand.
The heart, mind and soul.
Where strong, frightening fists can open up into friendly handshakes,
And hurtful slaps can become a thoughtful pat on the back.
But I'm looking outside, hoping to see this never, never land;
Hoping to see the fairy dust fall from the sky.
But what I see is very poor, lonely people out in the cold,
Hurt and crying.
It's like a horror movie,
Can't watch anymore 'cause we know it won't get any better.
But with one heart,
One soul,
As a team
Working together,
We can change our nightmare into a never, never land.
So we don't have to dream it,
We can live it
Together
As one peaceful nation.
So don't give up now 'cause just one YOU,
Can change the world.
