White Stone (CA) Congregation Ceases Ministry

DUBLIN, CA (April 19, 2004) - White Stone Church held its last worship service on April 4 after four years of ministry.

A statement about the church's closure was given by the elders and trustees, stating, "Pastor Rob Bryceson and his family feel called to prepare for the next great thing that God is going to have them do. As a result, Rob has resigned and the membership of White Stone have consequently decided to close the church and likewise prepare themselves for the next great thing He will have them do. We appreciate the worship, fellowship and learning experiences that we have shared with all of you who have attended White Stone at some point in its four years."

Although the church ended official worship services, a mission team recently returned from a trip to Kenya working with a parachurch organization called Streets of Hope. A reception of former members of the church will be held at a former parishioner's home on May 2 as an act of closure for the ministry at White Stone Church.
