Adventure Weekend Draws 240 Participants
BELLEVUE, WA (March 10, 2004) - A total of 240 people representing 28 churches
attended the North Pacific Conference's 18th annual Mission Adventure
Weekend, which was held at Newport Covenant Church on Saturday under the
theme "Together in Mission."
Curt Peterson, executive minister of the Department of World Mission for
the Evangelical Covenant Church, was the guest speaker at the event,
which included an evening banquet with the North Park University Gospel
Choir.
Covenant World Mission representatives Keith Tungseth and David
Stockamp, along with missionaries Doug and Carolyn Johnson (Thailand),
Ken Satterberg (Central Africa Republic), Tim and Helen Smith
(Equatorial New Guinea) and Jon Robertson (Ecuador), were speakers at
afternoon workshops. In addition to these missionary representatives,
Byron Amundsen of the Department of World Mission and Leonid Regheta of
North Park Theological Seminary participated in the two weeks of
itineration to conference churches conducted in conjunction with the
mission conference.
