CRC Names New Chief Financial Officer
CHICAGO, IL (January 13, 2004) - Elizabeth Baur Buikema has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC), administered by Covenant Ministries of Benevolence of the Evangelical Covenant Church.A certified public accountant, Buikema joined CRC in 1997 and served as associate vice president of accounting services. A 1988 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, she was with KPMG Peat Marwick in Chicago before joining CRC.
"Beth's commitment to our mission complements her financial background and acumen," said CRC President Rick K. Fisk. "Her leadership will help us maintain the sound financial base that underpins the security of present and future residents."
In addition to her responsibilities at CRC, Buikema serves on the financial advisory panel for the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the independent agencies that accredit continuing care retirement communities and rehabilitation facilities. She is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and lives in Chicago.
