Golf for Kids Outing Set for September 26

LAKE GENEVA, WI (August 25, 2003) - The tenth annual Golf for Kids outing to benefit Covenant Harbor Bible Camp is scheduled for Septemer 26 at the nearby Grand Geneva Resort.

Golf at the Grand Geneva course begins at 11 a.m. and the event concludes with a 5:30 p.m. dinner at Covenant Harbor's Geneva Bay Centre.

Carl Hawkinson of The Covenant Church of Galesburg, deputy chief of staff for public safety for the State of Illinois, will be the honorary chair and guest speaker at the dinner. The golf outing and dinner precedes the Central Conference Covenant Men's Retreat that will be held at Covenant Harbor from September 26-28.

Proceeds from Golf for Kids will help provide scholarships for kids wishing to attend camp. A total of 70 campers benefited from the $15,395 given for scholarships in 2003.

Costs for the golfing and dinner package is $169 (that includes green fees, lunch, and use of a golf cart). The cost for dinner is $50. To register for the event, call camp representative Rose Divan at 262-248-3600.
