Services Held for Edmay Noreen
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 17) - Memorial services were held last Thursday
(July 10) at Albin Chapel in Minneapolis for Edmay Noreen, widow of
Covenant pastor Winston Noreen.
The 85-year-old Noreen, who died July 6, had been living at Bethany
Covenant Home in Minneapolis. She had been a member of First Covenant
Church in Minneapolis and had worked 25 years as an employee with
Dayton's department store, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
She also did extensive volunteer work for the local Salvation Army and
was active in women's ministries in the church. Her baking skills were
noted by those who knew her and a friend of the family said that she was
part of a trio of women known at the church as "The Sunshine Girls."
Noreen is survived by three children who live in Minnesota: Lowell
(Tricia) Noreen of Rochester; Maewyn DuClos of Isle and Keith (Cheryl)
Noreen of Ramsey. Memorials can be sent to The Salvation Army.
