Volunteer Performers Sought for CHIC Talent Show

CHICAGO, IL (June 4, 2003) - CHIC2K3 is seeking youth talent for "A Place Called Heaven," a nightly talent show opportunity for individuals and groups to share their abilities on stage.

CHIC2K3 council member Dale Lusk stated that a venue will be set up in the Presidential Courtyard of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as a place where youth at CHIC can display their talents and learn about cultural differences in creative expression. He added that about 14 hours of performance time is still available for those interested in singing, dancing or performing in some other way.

Microphones, amplifiers and stage space is provided, along with free food. Already included are dance teams from Spain and California, a Hip Hop group from Oregon and a youth choir from Chicago, among others.

For more information, call Lusk, director of Covenant Merge Ministries, at 956-668-1723.
