War Prayers and Liturgies Resources Available Online

CHICAGO, IL (March 27, 2003) - A special package of resources to assist local Covenant churches in addressing matters related to the war in Iraq has been added to this Evangelical Covenant Church website.

Titled "Prayers & Liturgies for Times of War," the package includes five sections:

• Short prayers - a collection
• Prayer of hope - based on Psalm 46: 4-7
• Prayers of Intervention - based on Psalm 46: 8-11
• Prayers of Refocused Perspective - based on Psalm 46: 1-3
• Mark Twain's Prayer - a 1904 War Prayer

Art Greco, director of prayer and evangelism for the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism, gathered this material.
