Several Positions Available at Covenant Retirement Communities

CHICAGO, IL (January 25, 2003) - Candidates are being sought for a number of positions currently available at Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC).

National Director Operations, Eastern Region

Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC) is seeking candidates for a position as national director of operations for CRC's eastern region. This Chicago-based position coordinates overall operations of Covenant retirement communities located in Connecticut and Florida.

The position is responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures through local management committees, the vice president of operations and the CRC Board of Directors, assuring compliance and adherence to CRC's mission, policies and procedures as well as all federal, state and local governing agency regulations in order to provide safe and secure residential and health facilities.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of senior administrative experience and a thorough understanding of continuing care retirement community operations, as well as experience in dealing with and knowledge of senior adults. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or sciences degree - a masters degree in business or health care administration is preferred.

The position requires a high degree of interpersonal relation skills and the capability to relate to a variety of people and personalities. A thorough understanding of financial management is required. Considerable initiative, judgment and leadership skills are also required. A knowledge of and affiliation with the Evangelical Covenant Church is expected.

Campus Administrators

Two positions as campus administrators (AAHSA defined as executive directors) are available at The Samarkand in Santa Barbara, California, and at Covenant Village of Colorado, located in the Denver area. These positions direct and coordinate operations, including areas of budget and adherence to CRC's mission, policies, procedures and regulations. They also direct areas of marketing and strategic planning, both short and long-term. Job requirements for both positions include strong financial management capabilities, an understanding of CRC operations, a high degree of interpersonal relationship skills, initiative, good judgment and leadership skills, at least five years of senior administrative experience and at least a Bachelor of Arts degree (a masters degree is preferred). Health Care Administrators

Two positions as health care administrators are available at Mount Miguel Covenant Village in the San Diego area and at Covenant Shores in Mercer Island, Washington. These positions require strong financial management capabilities, good interpersonal skills, initiative, good judgment and leadership abilities and a minimum of three years of broad administrative experience with major supervisory responsibilities. A nursing home administrator license is required.
