New Church Plant Dedicated in Chile

VILLARICA, CHILE (November 11, 2002) - Thirty people were in attendance November 3 for the dedication of Mision Betesda, a new Covenant church under the leadership of pastor Osvaldo Troncoso.

Mision Betesda Troncoso and Hector Munoz, a Covenant pastor in Concepcion, preached at the dedication service in Villarica. The church has received help from the Covenant congregation in Concepcion, which has sent Cristian Luengo and Lily Olate as missionaries to assist in the church plant. Others from Villarica and nearby Puerto Montt have also committed to help.

Mision Betesda is part of the Confederation of Latin American Covenant Churches (CIPE). It is located 200 miles south of Concepcion, one of the largest cities in Chile.
