NPU Gospel Choir to Visit Three Kansas Churches

CHICAGO, IL (October 31, 2002) - The North Park University (NPU) gospel choir, under the direction of Rollo Dilworth, will perform at three Kansas Covenant churches during the weekend of November 15-17.

The gospel choir will begin the tour at 7 p.m. November 15 in the suburbs of Kansas City at Community Covenant Church in Shawnee. The following day, the contingent will travel to the Evangelical Covenant Church of Lindsborg for a 7 p.m. concert.

On November 17, the "Giving Thanks" tour ends at First Covenant Church in Salina, where the group will be part of 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. worship services. The gospel choir will perform in a full concert at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

The NPU gospel choir performs traditional and contemporary sacred music from the spiritual and gospel genres. The ensemble appears annually at the Evangelical Covenant Church's winter Youth Pastor Connection and Midwinter Pastors Conference in Rosemont, Illinois, and makes presentations on campus and at local churches throughout the year.
