Funeral Service Held for Beatrice Rosengren

LOWRY, MN (October 13, 2002) - A funeral service was conducted Saturday at the Ben Wade Covenant Church for Beatrice Rosengren, who died Wednesday at View Crest Nursing Home in Duluth. Pastor David Wallin officiated.

Rosengren was the widow of former Covenant pastor C. Rodney Rosengren, who served in Covenant churches in Minnesota and California. He died last October 30.

Born September 19, 1910, in DeKalb, Illinois, the 92-year-old Rosengren spent much of her life in Minnesota where she graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis. She had worked for Midway Hospital and Honeywell Corporation in the Twin Cities before marrying her husband on October 9, 1943. She and her husband had been living in Duluth since 1994 after having spent more than a decade near Lowry following retirement from full-time church ministry in 1979.

Rosengren is survived by one son, Tim and wife, Deborah, of Duluth, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Anna.
