Hutchinson (MN) Church Celebrates New Facility
HUTCHINSON, MN (September 26, 2002) - Oak Heights Covenant Church hosted a grand opening weekend September 21-22 to celebrate a new facility that has been in use for a month.Minnesota Sen. Steve Dille was among the 256 individuals attending the Sunday morning worship service last weekend. An open house followed as the community viewed a facility that cost more than $ 1 million and includes a sanctuary that seats more than 300. An education wing, conference room, kitchen and offices are also part of the building, financed with help from a National Covenant Properties loan.
Oak Heights Covenant, founded in 1993, is located one hour west of the Twin Cities in a town of 13,000. The congregation, under pastor Todd Ertsgaard, has averaged nearly 200 in worship attendance. Oak Heights Covenant dedicated its new building on September 8 as Northwest Conference Supt. Paul Erickson preached at the morning worship service.
