Women Vikings Top Alverno in Soccer Opener

MILWAUKEE, WI (September 3, 2002) - Katie Rose, Carly Thomforde and Erika Bennett scored two goals apiece as North Park University's women's soccer team won its opening game 7-0 over host Alverno College Saturday.

Mallory Nelson added the other goal for the Vikings while Tamaira Fraley assisted on two scores. North Park plays at Maranatha Baptist at 1 p.m. Saturday for another non-league contest.
