Covenant Home Seeking Candidates for Position
CHICAGO, IL (August 23, 2002) - Applications are being accepted for the position
of social services/activities coordinator for Covenant Home of Chicago, one
of 15 retirement communities administered by Covenant Retirement
Communities of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
This position is responsible for the planning, development and
implementation of appropriate programs designed to address the
psychosocial/emotional needs of campus residents and their families. This
position administers the campus resident assessment process and coordinates
transfers of our residents to other levels of care.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited
college or university in social work or another human service related
field. Experience in an assisted living setting and knowledge of community
resources is desirable. A valid Illinois driver's license and a good
driving record are required.
Qualifications include excellent verbal and written skills (English) as
well as tact, poise and confidence in personal contacts with residents
and/or the general public.
