Services Pending for Former Pastor Timothy Sporrong

CHICAGO, IL (June 3, 2002) - Services are pending for 52-year-old Timothy Sporrong, a former Covenant pastor who died suddenly this afternoon at the University of Chicago Hospital.

Sporrong served as senior pastor at North Park Covenant Church in Chicago until approximately eight years ago. He was employed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a case worker supervisor at the time of his death.
