Isaacson, who died last Thursday. The 93-year-old Isaacson served a number of Covenant congregations during three decades of ministry. Alert Covenant Church was Isaacson's first pastorate. Born August 7, 1908, in Mustang, Colorado, Isaacson attended North Park Junior College and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He eventually completed his ministry education requirements at North Park Theological Seminary and became an ordained Covenant pastor in 1954.
Isaacson began full-time ministry at Svea Dahl Covenant Church in Brady, Nebraska, serving from 1952 to 1955. "Thirty five years ago, when I was serving at Covenant Caravan, I met Carl," said Ken Carlson, superintendent of the Midwest Conference. "He was a strong, quiet man, but he was passionate about his faith and that showed in his teaching and preaching. He was one of those pastors who fulfilled his duty for the Lord in town and country churches and he was an encouragement to me."
