Wendell Scores Goal in Win Over Germany

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (February 13, 2002) - Krissy Wendell of Redeemer Covenant Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, scored a third period goal as the United States Olympic women's hockey team beat Germany 10-0 in an opening round game at the E Center Tuesday.

The U.S. team opened its 2002 Winter Olympics by scoring twice in the first period and four goals each in the second and third periods. The game was played in front of 8,504 spectators, including Wendell's parents, Larry and Drenda.
