North Park Seeking Major Gift Officer Candidates
CHICAGO, IL (February 8, 2002) - North Park University is searching for an experienced professional for the position of major gift officer for university development.
The position involves the identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of major gift prospects for the university. Duties include developing and overseeing major donor annual fund strategies, recruiting volunteer solicitors and working with the researcher to identify prospects. About half of the time will involve travel.
The position requires a bachelor's degree, relevant development experience and organizational and self-motivation skills. The successful candidate must reflect a personal commitment to North Park's Christian mission for higher education. Familiarity with North Park and its constituents is highly desirable.
