Peninsula Covenant to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

REDWOOD CITY, CA (February 7, 2002) - Paul Larsen, longtime pastor at Peninsula Covenant Church and former president of the Evangelical Covenant Church, will preach at Peninsula Covenant Church's 50th anniversary celebration worship service on February 17 in Redwood City.

Larsen will preach at the 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. worship services. It will conclude the weekend celebration.

A 7 p.m. Family Night on February 15 will include a tour of the community center that is part of the church property as well as a cavalcade of decade displays in the fellowship hall. On February 16, a number of events are planned, beginning with a 10 a.m. rehearsal for the 50th reunion choir that will sing that weekend. A formal tea will be held at the fellowship hall, an organ and piano concert will be presented at the worship center at 3 p.m. and a banquet will be held at the Hyatt Hotel's Rickey's Restaurant in nearby Palo Alto.
