More than 1,400 Expected at Midwinter Events
ROSEMONT, IL (February 1, 2002) - Registration for the pre-event meetings and the annual Pastors Midwinter Conference for the Evangelical Covenant Church is more than 1,400, according to Midwinter registrars.
The Midwinter registration for the February 4-8 event is around 900, while a pre-event connection weekend for youth workers and children and adult ministries is at 430. Representatives of the Department of Christian Formation expect another 50 people likely will be walk-in registrants for the Connection, which begins Saturday and concludes Monday.
Among the highlights of the Youth Workers and Children and Adult Ministry Connection will be the presentation of materials and the theme for the next Covenant High in Christ high school event (CHIC2K3), which will be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, July 31-August 6, 2003.
A Church Planters' Connection beginning Sunday afternoon and concluding Monday afternoon has attracted 44 registrants, according to the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism. The Association of Covenant Camps and Conference Centers is also meeting - 33 registrants are
scheduled for sessions Monday and Tuesday.
