Servant Leadership Training Scheduled in July

CHICAGO, IL (January 2, 2002) - North Park University (NPU) is partnering with Guardian Charities to host two one-week sessions of Servant Leadership 2002, a short-term mission training event designed for high school students this summer.

North Park will host Servant Leadership 2002 from July 7-12 and July 14-19. Two other sites - Los Angeles and London - will produce events July 28 through August 2. Servant Leadership of Wheaton, Illinois, is a ministry sponsored by Guardian Charities. It provides training and service opportunities to help high school students live out the example of being a servant leader for Jesus Christ.

Servant Leadership 2001 was held at North Park last July, according to Mark Olson, director of University Ministries at North Park. Last year's event attracted more than 300 students from churches in the United States and Canada.
