Wheaton Overpowers North Park Women's Team

WHEATON, IL (December 12, 2001) - Wheaton College forced 25 turnovers and beat North Park University 74-43 Tuesday in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's basketball game at King Arena.

Becky Moo scored 14 points for the Thunder (8-2, 2-0) and three other Wheaton players scored in double figures. Sophomore Megan Long, who grew up at Community Covenant Church in El Cajon, California, played for Wheaton.

Amy Stoltz scored 10 points to lead North Park, which is now 5-6 overall, 1-2 in CCIW play. The Vikings will break for the holidays and will play again January 9 in a home CCIW contest against Augustana College.
