Vikings Senior Scores 1,000th Career Point

OSHKOSH, WI (November 26, 2001) - Senior Andrea Mendyk scored her 1,000th career point in North Park University's 66-63 victory over Edgewood College November 24 at the UW-Oshkosh Tourney, becoming the 10th women's basketball player in school history to achieve that milestone.

Mendyk had 21 points as the Vikings won the consolation game in the tournament. In her four-year career, she has averaged just under 13 points per contest. She was an All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin player a year ago as her team finished 12-12 overall.

After the UW-Oshkosh tourney, the Vikings were 2-3 and Mendyk was averaging 15 points per game.
