Covenant Teacher Honored by Augsburg College

NEW BRIGHTON, MN (November 20, 2001) - Lisa Sackreiter of Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton recently was recognized by Augsburg College in Minnesota for her work as a teacher and community service liaison at her school.

Sackreiter, a 1995 graduate of Augsburg, was given The First Decade Award, which honors graduates during the previous 10 years who have made significant progress through professional achievement and contributions to the community.

Sackreiter was nominated by teachers at the Blake School in Minneapolis for her work with a school service-learning program she started three years ago. She has also served as a Lacrosse coach at the school and has helped arrange intergenerational service projects at Salem Covenant.
