River Ridge (WA) to Break Ground for Building Addition

OLYMPIA, WA (November 15, 2001) - River Ridge Covenant Church will break ground Sunday for a 4,800-square-foot expansion to its current building.

The addition will provide at least five classrooms, which will eventually be converted into a larger nursery and meeting space, along with a new entry area. The total construction cost is about $600,000, according to a recent report in the church's monthly newsletter.

A church stewardship campaign has raised $280,000 to be paid over a three-year period. National Covenant Properties will provide a loan to expedite the construction process.

River Ridge Covenant Church is a congregation of 450, served by Mark Orr as senior pastor. It was founded eight years ago with the help of nearby Grace Community Covenant Church. Groundbreaking for the current facility occurred in 1997.
